The Human Resources Assistant will work directly with the HR Manager to assist in the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Department.
This position will also assist in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring new team members as well as developing and implementing HR policies and procedures.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a strong work ethic and a desire to succeed.
Responsibilities:
Assist with recruiting, interviewing, and hiring new team members as well as developing and implementing human resources policies and procedures.
Assist with onboarding new team members.
Provide administrative support to the HR Manager.
Assist with maintaining employee files and records in electronic form.
Perform other duties assigned by the HR Manager or management as needed.
Support the Human Resources Team by performing other duties as assigned by the manager or supervisor.
Qualifications:
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while delivering results in a timely manner.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with an ability to effectively interact with all levels of personnel, customers, and external contacts.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of personnel records and information in accordance with Boyce Thompson Arboretum policies and procedures.
